After my frustrations of last week it has been a better week for me this week.
Isaac has filmed a self tape audition for a TV Commercial with his friend, so our fingers and toes are crossed for a call back and the boys are both considering auditioning for the local pantomimes.
Here is our week;
Sunday 4th May
Having worked through all the lovely sunny weather, I was rather disappointed that it was overcast for my day off, but that didn’t stop us heading out.

Instead of the beach, we hit the arcades to spend all our 2p’s. We did quite well out of the machines, but Sebby’s determination to win a Capybara out of the grabber machine didn’t end up paying off.

Once home we enjoyed our first barbecue of 2025, although ate inside as it was too chilly outside.

Monday 5th May
Bank Holiday Monday and a normal working day for me, albeit slightly later than my normal 5am start.

My only photo was of the new postbox topper to celebrate VE Day.
Tuesday 6th May
With VE celebrations due to start on Thursday, we decorated the store with some flags and poppies.

Tesco didn’t provide anything, but luckily I have a talented friend who makes bunting, so we now have enough to decorate the checkouts for future events.

Wednesday 7th May
Eliza had an orthodontist appointment in the morning. Sadly her orthodontist is in the New Forest, which is an hour journey each way, so she missed a whole morning of school.

Once she was back at school, I met up with a friend for coffee and decided to try the Dragonfruit and Mango drink – it looks nicer than it tasted.

Thursday 8th May
The 80th anniversary of VE Day and we celebrated at work by dressing up in 1940’s dress, or red white and blue.

The garden project is continuing – our swing has been up since before Sebastian was born and is starting to crack, so we decided to take it down as its only really Lilah and Barney that use it now.

The birds love the feeder in its new location and we now have a grown up garden for the first time since we moved in, almost 20 years ago.
Friday 9th May
A long day at work for me as I picked up an extra shift.
Willow has been very sleepy for the last couple of weeks and now we know why – she has starting shedding her skin and looks like she has a halo.

Saturday 10th May
Our garden is apparently the place to be seen!
Not only do we have the coal tits and robins at our feeder, but the squirrels, pigeons and dove’s have all got in on the action.

How was your week?
Good luck to Isaac & his friend, I hope the audition pays off for them.
Your garden is looking great, I love the photo of all the wildlife coming to have a munch. I have a family of collared doves that come to visit at the moment, It’s lovely having birds in the garden.
Have a lovely week ahead.
I am glad you’ve had a better week. Good luck to Isaac with the audition.
I do love the 2p machines at the arcades.
The store looks great, such a shame Tesco didn’t supply anything!
The garden looks great and it sure looks like the animals love it! x
