I am struggling to keep up with my 365 at the moment, as there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day!
Over the last two weeks we have fought the lurgy and had a family birthday too, which has kept us busy.
Here is our last two weeks:
Sunday 8th June
Poor Eliza has had conjunctivitis since Wednesday and it’s not clearing with over-the-counter medicine, so we called 111 and were referred to the eye hospital.

After a thorough examination, the Doctor thought that the infection was viral, rather than bacterial, but prescribed antibiotic drops to see if that would clear it. She also advised us to get some lubricating eye drops too – £18 later, but hopefully Eliza will start feeling more comfortable soon.
Monday 9th June
Eliza is still poorly and now has a cold to add into the mix, so she stayed home from school.

I had a meeting in Southampton where we were discussing a new charity project and I have managed to sign myself up for an 11 mile Jurassic Coast walk in September. I had better get training!!

Tuesday 10th June
I seem to have loads of these strange looking beetles in my garden and I am not entirely sure what they are.

I have tried googling and I think they may be boxelder beetles, but the images seem to differ. Any ideas?
Wednesday 11th June
Eliza is finally feeling better and her eye is clearing up, but child #2 is now down with the lurgy and had a day off school.

I swapped my shift, so ended up working late night and it was stupidly busy. 20,000+ step days are usually reserved for 5* weekends and Christmas, but we had an anomaly.

Thursday 12th June
Thankfully as much easier day than the other day but it was still busy. My job role is changing by the week and I am expected to complete a lot more shop floor work than I used to.
My only photo is of a dove and a squirrel raiding our bird feeders.

Friday 13th June
Eliza has a singing lesson at home on a Friday and insists that we leave, so I took myself off for a Pokemon walk, spotting these gorgeous flowers along the way.

In the evening we watched as a thunderstorm rolled in. I missed my photo of the best lightening strike, but did manage to catch this one.

Saturday 14th June
It’s Harry Paye day, which is a local event celebrating the life of a local pirate, Harry Paye.
There is a big parade on Poole Quay, bands, stalls and fairground rides. Sadly we couldn’t attend as working, but some of the staff joined us and dressed up.

Sunday 15th June
We met up with Abbey in Christchurch as she was keen to introduce us to gelato shop and OMG – I have never tasted ice cream (or sorbet in my case) so good.

The weather was glorious, so we made the most of it and took Lilah for a walk to the harbour to feed the ducks. She became the Pied Piper, as they all followed her along the river.

We then stopped at the park and although Eliza said she was too old to join in, she was tempted by the swings in the end.

Monday 16th June
With the weather being so glorious, I really didn’t want to be in work, but needs must. Pride month is June, but here in Bournemouth our Bourne Free event is mid-July, so I put our Pride flags up today.

They definitely add some colour to the shop, but they can be quite divisive. Some customers love them and some hate them!
Tuesday 17th June
I hung the washing out overnight and when I went out to see if it was dry, this damselfly had taken up residence on one of the towels.

It seemed quite happy and didn’t move as I was hanging more washing out. I wonder if it was getting moisture from it.
Wednesday 18th June
My day off and haircut day!

We looked at my last lot of notes and were shocked to see that I last had it done back in February, so it definitely needed it.

Thursday 19th June
I found out that my friend Tracie’s cat is poorly with gall stones and possibly a tumour too, so I popped in to see them.

O’Malley is my favourite of their cats, even though he always sneezes over me when he comes for a cuddle, but today is was more than content to snooze in the window.
Friday 20th June
HAPPY 12TH BIRTHDAY SEBBY!!

We really struggled with birthday present ideas for him as he doesn’t want anything other than a new Chelsea kit, which he was delighted with.

Isaac and Eliza were both out with friends in the evening, so we headed into town for a cheeky Creams Waffle meal, an arcade hit and a trip on the Bournemouth Wheel.

How was your week?
