When I heard that Lemur Landings were launching their very own Create-a-Bear parties in the brand new Ted Shed I knew that would be the perfect birthday party for Eliza. Not only did they get to stuff their very own bear, but they also got play time in the huge play frame.
The children got to play in the play frame upon arrival which was a great way of burning off some steam before the serious task of choosing which bear they wanted to stuff in the specially built Ted Shed.
The range of bears seemed to please both the children and adults with Turtles, Dinosaurs, traditional Bears and the most chosen of the day – the Unicorn!
The children were given balls of stuffing to hand fill the bears. We had a mix of ages from 2 to 6 – the older ones could fill the bears without assistance but the younger ones did need some help, although the mum’s / sisters amongst the group were just as keen to get involved.
Once the stuffing had finished the children got to make a wish and insert a very special heart into their bear, before sealing the bear with a zip and velcro – no sewing required!
The fun wasn’t over yet though – they then got to design and colour their own teddy t-shirts!
The final part of their Create-a-Bear adventure was to name the bear and get their own very special Birth Certificate.
Once they had finished the children got to dash off into the play frame again – all clutching their newly made furry best friends.
They tore around for about half an hour before getting to meet Lola the Lemur……..
…..and then the home-made food was brought out. Eliza chose Pizza and Nuggets which was accompanied by Curly Fries and Baked Beans with Ice Cream for dessert.
Not only did they get their Bears, but balloon animals too – I think some of the older party members may have had too much coffee looking at these pictures!
Finally it was time for the Birthday Girl to blow out her candles.
The kids got a final chance to play on the play frame before it was time to head home with their new furry friends.
It was truly magical watching the children’s faces as their bears started to take shape and every single parent phoned me to say what a wonderful time their child had had at the Create a Bear Party!
Lemur Landings are also offering Create a Bear Sessions from Half Term so you don’t have to book a party to create your very own bear!
Thank you Lemur Landings for making Eliza’s 3rd Birthday extra special and a big thank you to Louise for taking such wonderful pictures!
Looks like a great party. How much does it cost?
It starts at £17.50 per head for the small bear and includes food, playtime, the bear and t-shirt!
Can’t imagine a more perfect child’s birthday party!

Looks like a fantastic party!
Happy Birthday Little Princess!
Looks like such fun. I love that they stuff them themselves. The similarly named high street chain that does a similar thing seems like a con to me – they just stand there while it’s done by machine!
