Poco Nido Wellies – A review

If you have not heard of Poco Nido before then let me introduce you.

Poco Nido is a little brand for little people.  Founded by Catherine, a footwear designer for 14 years and a mum of 2, their aim is to create quality clothing and footwear in limited runs so you get functional and exclusive pieces that won’t break the bank, and of course happy, cool kids in the process!
I love all their clothing, but sadly Eliza is just at the top end of their age range – I just wish I had found them sooner!
Their soft pram shoes are just adorable and are available in designs for boys and girls.
Poco Nido have just launched a range of wellies for kids.  If you have little ones then I am sure you are familiar with them scrunching up their toes, making putting on shoes and boots an impossible task.  Eliza is still doing this, and I have found putting on high legged boots almost impossible – especially if she is in a very stubborn frame of mind.  However Podo Nido have a solution………
Poco Nido Boots
Ankle height wellies!!  They are easy to get on and off, and perfect for splashing in muddy puddles.  I actually have a pair of black ankle wellies and find them incredibly comfortable and a better solution than the high leg ones, which can be a really challenge to get on and off!

Eliza was keen to get them on straight away and I confirm they were easy to put on.  She spent the whole afternoon running around the lounge saying “Owl – Twit Twoo” and pointing her feet so she could admire her new shoes.
They have kept her feet dry at her brothers’ football training / matches, and are perfect for her favourite occupation – splashing in muddy puddles.  We team them with her waterproof suit for puddle splashing, keeping the trouser over the top of the boots and the elastic underneath to keep her legs dry.

Eliza is able to walk and run in these boots more easily than the higher legged ones, which make her almost waddle and with sizes starting at 4, they are perfect for early walkers or little ones with teeny tiny feet like Eliza.

We have been stopped so many times since wearing them, with people admiring not only the colour but also the design of the boots – definitely a winner here!!
The wellies are priced at £20 and also come in a blue cat design with red soles and go up to child size 10.  I just wish they did an adult version for me!!
