I was so excited when I became a Britax Mumbassador, having been a fan of their products for years.
I currently own a Britax B-Dual which has been a real work horse for our family as I was without a car when Eliza was born. I also own a Britax B-Agile and the B-Agile Double which I use for childminding as well as three Britax car seats.
It is safe to say I like their products, so when I was offered the Britax Affinity Pram to review I was very excited.
I actually took delivery of it back at the beginning of May, but due to home renovations and the fact baby wasn’t due until June it stayed in its box as I didn’t want it to get covered in dust. I finally got it out and put it together in mid June and have to say it was easy peasy!
The frame just required unfolding and the wheels clicking into it, which took under a minute. I was struck by how light it was, although the two handed fold threw me as I have been so used to folding the B-Agile which is one handed. I chose the black frame, but it also comes in white and silver too.
The basket is a good size for storage and it has suspension on both the front and back wheels for a comfortable ride. The brake is super easy to apply too and the frame even has a unique code on it for theft protection!
Next up was the seat unit. The unit itself is grey and then you can add the colour pack of your choice, so you can even mix and match the sets if you fancy a change. I chose Blue Sky, or Chelsea Blue as we prefer to call it!!
The seat unit did take a little longer to put together as you have to add the colour coded pack. Fitting the shoulder pads to the 5 point harness was a little fiddly as you had to slide the belt through the pads and then do up a popper on each one, but in reality it only took 15 minutes to put the whole thing together!
Eliza insisted on trying the Affinity out for size and gave it her full approval. At 2.5 she is at the top end of the size for this buggy, but still fits comfortably in it.
The buggy also comes with a newborn kit, so the baby can fit in the seat unit from birth, but I do like the option of having a carrycot and purchased the matching one.
The seat unit, carrycot and Britax SHRII carseat (which we had from Eliza) all have the click and go system, so are easy to swap over meaning the pram is great as a travel system.
I couldn’t wait to try it out, and on our first outing got lots of lovely comments about the pram. It is extremely light to push and is a real head turner, plus Sebastian was super comfy and contented.
I cannot wait to take the Affinity out and about and report on its performance. I plan to really put it through its paces, both on and off road plus about the town – keep your eyes peeled for my reports.

I appear to have lost my job!! |
I also have the matching changing bag, which really adds to the look of the pram, and when it starts getting colder (not for quite some time I hope), I will be investing in the cosy toes too!
For a limited time the Britax Affinity Carrycot is free with every Affinity purchase from the
Britax Online Shop, so hurry and order yours now!!
Wow – I love the colour! And the ribbing on the coverlet is gorgeous. Well done fellow Britax Mumbassador – fab review xx
