I saw a tweet this morning from Claire @needaphone which said:
“Wants to Review Sleep”
She’s not wrong. Sleep has gone AWOL in my house at the moment. I have Isaac and Eliza both waking at 5am and Sebastian has gone from a fabulous sleeper to a nightmare in the last week or so. I am not sure if it is his teeth or a growth spurt but the combination of these issues means I am getting less and less sleep.
For Christmas I would like a perfect night in, followed by a FULL nights sleep. Now I know this won’t happen on Christmas Eve as the kids will be too excited and I am fully aware that they will be excitedly opening their eyes at 4am on Christmas morning to see if Father Christmas has been.
For this night in I would like my husband to put all his new culinary skills he learned at his Neff / Bosch training course to good use and cook me a delicious meal and dessert. If he could recreate the meal, or just the Toffee Apple & Honeycombe cheesecake we had at the Print Room earlier this year – even better.
After dinner has been finished I would snuggle up on the sofa wearing some comfy pyjamas – I like the Camelia Soft Touch PJ Set, and watch my favourite Christmas film to get me in the festive mood with a nice glass of Baileys over ice.
Once that has finished I would climb into bed, freshly made with lovely line dried bedding, and have a blissful full night of uninterrupted sleep until at least 8am.
It’s just not going to happen, is it?
