I cannot believe that half term is upon us already and I am entrusting the house and cats to the eldest and heading north with cottages4you for the school break.
Cottages4You is part of Wyndham Vacation Rentals, the world’s largest professionally managed vacation rentals company and we will be based in Newcastle Under Lyme.
I am so looking forward to our break however I am completely overwhelmed with possible days out, so need some advice.
I have promised the children that we will go to Alton Towers – Kian is desperate to try out the new Smiler Rollercoaster and Eliza wants to visit CBeebiesland and another must do activity is Blackpool – I have always wanted to see the famous illuminations and the lure of the Big One roller coaster is another big pull.
The National Space Centre looks like it will really capture Isaac’s imagination as he has been studying planets at school and I would also love to see Warwick Castle, where we could venture on the way back but all this is starting to look like it is going to cost lots of money, despite having Merlin passes.
We love the look of the Snow Dome in Tamworth – but it’s quite pricey for what would only be a visit for a couple of hours. I want full days out, with fresh air, fun and scenery.
Do you have any must visit places around the Staffordshire area, please leave a link to your blog posts below so I can decide where to go!
Hi hon, here is a post I put together on half term a few months ago, the same places would definitely be worth visiting. (http://lifeasourlittlefamily.com/2014/04/27/half-term-roundup/) and I can help you with others too hon x
Thank you lovely, it will be nice to go off the beaten track a little
We loved Blackpool and the boys liked Alton Towers, but it is better for over 1.4 meters. The space center is good, but a little jaded.
Have a fantastic time
I love Warwick Castle and would love to go to the space center – happy holidays! X
Tamworth Snowdome is really good though from what I have been told. And not too far away is Drayton Manor.
I’ve always fancied going to the National Space Centre so will be interested in anything you blog about it.
Those all sound great! I’d love to look around Warwick Castle someday.
Staffordshire is a county I would love to visit, all the potteries!
I’ve never been but have a lovely holiday
I’ve never been I’m afraid but I hope you find lots to do that won’t cost the earth x
It may be on the way but cadbury world is great for kids as is Warick castle and Drayton manor park.
I have never been hope you have a lovely time x
