Double the fun on days out with these toys from Hape

This year Christmas crept up upon us at super speed and because the kids did not break up until 21st December, it felt like we had no time to relax into it with fun days out.

On the flipside, the kids don’t go back to school until the 8th January, which leaves quite a long period to try and entertain them, particularly when many local days out and attractions are closed.

This is when our National Trust and English Heritage memberships really come into play, as they offer great days out for all the family with the chance for the kids to really let off steam.

We were sent the Hide-and-Seek Periscope and Pocket Swing from Hape to review, both great toys for taking out on days out to add to their adventures.

Now the kids can see without being seen with this cool periscope!

Made of sustainable bamboo, it allows you to peek over walls and into rabbit and bird holes and comes with a handy wrist strap, so it doesn’t get dropped.

It is small enough to pop in a bag for when the kids get bored of carrying it too.

Ever get the feeling you are being watched?

The Pocket Swing we found a little more tricky to use, as we have not yet been able to find a suitable tree to attach it to on our travels, but I can see it being used when we next go camping.

Relax when you’re out in nature with this fun portable swing set! Once set up between two strong trees, it provides a fun swing or a place for children to sit……. I will keep you posted on how we get on with it next time we are exploring the New Forest.

The Hape Hide-and-Seek Periscope has an RRP of £9.99 and the Pocket Swing RRP is £19.99

  1. We love going exploring in the woods and both of these would make it even more of an adventure. I especially love the periscope, something you don’t see that often around. X
