Eliza is 8!!

Every year it feels like time is marching on at an even greater speed than the year before and as soon as we welcome the new year, we have our first birthday of the year – Eliza.

This year she turns 8 and what I love about blogging is that I can look back and see exactly what she liked / disliked at any given moment. With my older ones, I have a vague recollection that they loved Power Puff Girls, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh at the same age, but cannot remember exactly when the craze hit them.

What Eliza loves at age 8

It is safe to say that 2019 is the year of the unicorn!

She now has a bedroom to herself after sharing it with Sebby since he arrived, but now it has been transformed into a pink, unicorn themed paradise!

Mermaids are still in though and she has a Mermaid party on Saturday for her and six friends – safe to say she is very, very excited!!

She has been swimming with Swim Bournemouth for 7 months and her confidence in the water has grown leaps and bounds. She swims around 1000m+ every session and her best stroke is currently breast stroke.

Swimming Gala (1)

She completed her first swimming gala last weekend and swam brilliantly, competing in three races; 50m breaststroke, 50, backstroke and the 50m freestyle, gaining her very first times.

Her favourite films have to be the Nativity franchise and she has watched them all non-stop over Christmas and New Year. Her favourite TV shows are Dr Who, Project MC² and Blue Peter and she loves musicals.

Blue Peter

Last year she saw Matilda, Wicked and Shrek the Musical and she is looking forward to seeing Matilda again in June, when it heads to the Mayflower in Southampton and then Nativity in December (but shhhhh, that one is a secret).

Food wise, she is the most adventurous of the three little ones and her favourites are lasagne and roast dinner. She isn’t keen on anything spicy though.

Eliza loves school and wants to be a mad scientist, a doctor or an author when she is older. She adores reading and devours book, after book, after book – often getting 6 out of the library at a time. Her current favourite author is David Walliams.

Like me, she loves exploring the great outdoors and would much rather be outside than in, but she does love a good museum and finding out facts behind everything and anything!

She has moved from Beavers to Cubs and cannot wait to get stuck in to some more challenging activities, especially her first cub camp!!

Invested

I cannot wait to see what 2019 brings her.

Happy Birthday Princess Boo, we all love you loads xxx
