Learning through play with Busy Things

How is home learning going?

If it is anything like ours, it is a bit up and down although things have got a bit easier now the kids have set activities to do.

I have found a brilliant website called Busy Things which is a great way to keep children entertained and also brilliant for home-learning, without them actually realising they are learning. Sebby is currently testing his coding skills and Eliza is indulging in her love of history!

Busythings.co.uk is an online educational resource with over 900 expertly designed, award-winning games and activities for early years, key stage 1 and key stage 2 – ages 3-11.

Busy Things strongly believe that children learn better through play and with laughter and they pride themselves on creating highly engaging content that children love.

There are all sorts of games, activities and teaching resources that will help families bring tricky or dull subjects to life, including maths, English, phonics, geography, history, coding and many more! In fact, there’s an activity to suit every subject in the National Curriculum.

For families trying to reduce screentime, there are also lots of printables on Busy Things too to keep children busy, entertained and learning!

  1. Busy things looks excellent with plenty of options for to keep kids interested and engaged. I’ve shared with my pals who have small kids. It’s so hard to homeschool in lockdown.

  2. This is perfect for homeschooling, particularly just now with lockdown being in place. I’m glad it aims to encourage children to have fun whilst learning, I think that’s really important.
