My 5 Top Cosy Night in Essentials

With the temperatures starting to drop, now is the time to make your home a cosy space to hibernate in.

Nothing beats snuggling up on the sofa after a long day at work or school, lighting a scented candle and sinking into a pile of cushions with a nice fluffy blanket and a warming hot chocolate.

Our essentials for a cosy night in

Cosy Pyjamas

Cosy up in style this winter with a pair of brushed cotton pyjamas. I love this set of Fairisle Long PJ In a Bag by Boux Avenue so much, that Eliza and I have a matching pair.

If pyjamas are not your thing, lounge wear is just as comfortable and warming.

Cushions and Throws

With the cost of living crisis really impacting everyone at the moment, many of us are turning the heating down.

This doesn’t mean that you have to be cold, just add warming cushions and throws to the sofa and wrap yourself up when things get a bit chilly.

Scented Candles

We use candles all year round, with light floral scents in the summer and richer, more warming vanilla tones during the winter months.

Candle

My favourite candles are Woodwick, which have a wide wick that creates a tall, mesmerising flame and actually crackles and pops like a real fire – perfect if you dream of having a real fire.

Warming Drink

Nothing beats getting in from a cold walk than a warming hot chocolate treat.

To make a more adult version, I can highly recommend a Bailey’s Hot Chocolate to really get the evening started.

Twinkling Lights

The nights are drawing in and nothing makes your home feel more welcoming and cosy, than twinkling lights.

These lights help trigger dopamine, the ‘feel good’ chemical in the brain to make you feel happy in your surroundings.

What is your best tip for keeping cosy during the winter months?
