Project 365 2023 – Week 14

The school holiday’s are here, but sadly my husband and I couldn’t get the time off, so are both working over Easter.

Thankfully we managed to get out at least one day this week, but typically it was the one rainy day of the whole week.

Here is our week:

Sunday 2nd April

I have always wanted to try reflexology, so for Mother’s Day, Abbey bought me a reflexology session and today was the day!

I am normally a talker during treatments, but this was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep. I would definitely have it done again.

Monday 3rd April

We have been a bit worried about Willow this week as she hadn’t been as active as she normally is and cannot seem to be bothered to catch her food. This hopper was quite happy sitting on her back.

We think her body clock is a bit off and is entering a brumation period, despite the weather starting to warm up.

Tuesday 4th April

It has been really gloomy recently, but today the sun decided to shine. We headed out for a little walk after work to make the most of it.

Wednesday 5th April

My husband and I managed to arrange to have the same day off, so I booked a guided walk around Lulworth Cove to find the fossil forest.

Although there were a couple of other families there, it wasn’t really a family friendly walk and the guide didn’t manage to engage them very well, so they made their own fun.

I found all the facts fascinating and I don’t think we would have found the fossil forest without him, but I think we will explore on our own next time as the walk felt very slow.

Thursday 6th April

After work, we watched the new film Mummies as we were sent some merchandise to review.

The film has a stellar cast and the kids loved it, especially Sebby who is learning about the Egyptians at school. The microphone was also a hit with the kids…….not so much for us though LOL.

Friday 7th April

Willow has been sleeping constantly and not eating for a couple of days, so I stopped at the pet shop on the way home from work to get her some cockroaches. They suggested her body clock was out and to let her get some direct sunlight, so we took her in the garden.

We spent over an hour in the garden and she seemed to enjoy basking in the sunshine and it has definitely perked her up.

Saturday 8th April

Another work day for me and my most asked question was “where are your easter eggs?” – we actually ran out yesterday!!

My picture of the day was of the Rotary Train that came to visit us.

How was your week?

  1. That’s a shame you and your husband are both working over Easter.
It sounds like the reflexology was amazing and poor Willow, I hope she is back to her normal self soon. x

  2. Hope the sun did the job for Willow and she’s back on form. The fossil forest sounds interesting. Always a shame when tours don’t go as expected But at least you made the best of it.

  3. Glad you found your reflexology session so relaxing. Looks like a lovely spot for a walk after walk. The fossil forest sounds like a fascinating place to visit although it was a shame that the guide didn’t manage to engage the kids so well. Glad the hour in the sunshine helped perk Willow up. #project365
