Project 365 2014 – Week 13

What a week!

Sunday saw Sebastian take part in an underwater photo shoot as part of his swimming lessons with Turtle Tots.  As it was Sports Relief I decided that we would raise some extra money by doing an underwater swim with Sebastian.  I stupidly decided to wear a Sports Relief t-shirt and discovered that sinking is actually harder to do than it looks.  Still, I am pleased with the results!

We have had the lurgy in our house, with Isaac being sent home from school on Tuesday.  The new school rules meant that despite being better by Thursday he had the rest of the week off.

On Thursday I went to London for a Lindam / Munchkin event.  I was making great time and set to arrive early when I hit traffic.  I was soon to discover that the road was shut because of a serious accident and what should have taken me another 15 minutes took me two and a half hours – I arrived as it was finishing.  I have to say that everyone was fab though and made sure that I got a cup of tea and Sebastian his lunch before we made our way back home.

On Friday we were invited to Legoland for a Duplo World of Wonder Event.  The park was empty so we were literally walking straight onto rides, meaning we actually got to do all our favourites and more!

week 13

82.  Having a giggle with Caroline and Stuart at Turtle Tots

83.  Isaac won his first ever medal at football

84.  Kian doing some Weird Science Experiments, although it was probably more to do with his brother being ill!

85.  Sebastian doing his “Flying without Wings” impression

86.  Enjoying a relaxing bathtime with his new Munchkin toys after 8 hours in the car – He was a superstar!!

87.  Amazing finds at Legoland – reversible superhero capes.  They got lots of comments from visitors wearing these as they charged around the park.

88.  Isaac went to a party and insisted on becoming a Monster

Saturday Is Caption Day – 29th March 2014

Yesterday we went to Legoland for the launch of Duplo World of Wonder and we got the chance to explore a remarkably quiet theme park.

Isaac and Eliza thoroughly enjoyed themselves and charged around posing with every lego figure they could find, trying to create the stance.

Can you caption their best Policeman impression?

The Gallery – Swimming

There is one skill I insist my children learn – the ability to swim.

Not only is it a fantastic source of exercise and good for their health, but I feel it is especially important as we live by the coast.

My younger three all look forward to swimming lessons and I wouldn’t be surprised if one or all of them took up the sport competitively in the future.  For now though, it is all about the fun!

Swimming lessons have changed significantly since my eldest learned to swim and now you can even get pictures of them swimming underwater.  We had this done with Sebastian last week and I cannot wait to see them but in the meantime, we have some fabulous pictures from above which hubby took.
