How it works
Simply tear the sheets, crease them, weave them and make unique creations!
The basics are fairly easy, but we did find the instructions a little on the confusing side and our first creation was trial and error.
Once you have your first row of paper in place, you secure it with the middle bar to hold it in place. You then twist the wheel on the weaver unit, which lifts the paper in turn, so you can easily weave your paper into place.
You then lift the back bar and move the paper strip, up to the back bar to start creating your paper weave.
Our first creation was a pot, which requires a base. For this, we had to wind paper strips around the base maker, until it was the right size.
The Paper FX Dream Weaver machine can be used with any type of paper, although I would recommend that you use craft paper or something that has a bit of stiffness and stability to it, although you can also use whatever you have around the house, magazines, old greetings cards etc.
Once Eliza got the hang of it, creations started to come together more quickly and she is currently making bunting with her name on for her bedroom.
Do be aware that you will need lots of extra glue (not included) to ensure they stay together, especially the more complicated makes.

Great job guys! I can remember doing this sort of paper weaving at school which coloured sugar paper. It looks effective and would certainly give my kids something to keep them occupied.
I think it looks like a lot of fun and it is something similar to what we did at school, but with no machinery to help us with it x

What a great kit to explore weaving with! We used to do this at school, but this looks like the perfect way to inspire little ones to get even more creative with paper. Love the idea of using old magazines and papers.
I remember having something a bit like this as a kid and it was brilliant. It’s too old for my son at the moment, but what a great way to spend a few hours with older kids.
