Saturday is Caption Day – 27th December 2014

In case you hadn’t noticed we spent Christmas at Coombe Mill in Cornwall.

Last year the weather was terrible but this year it was much brighter so we decided to explore some of the local delights and top of our list was Port Isaac.

It is a beautiful fishing village and the kids adored running around the sand and looking in the rock pools to see what the could see.

Despite being a fairly clear day it was very windy and I had to chuckle when a large gust caught hubby and Sebastian as they were posing for a photo.  I think this is possibly my best #satcap ever!

Saturday is Caption Day is back in its rightful home with Mammasaurus.

This week saw the kids performing in the school nativity and Isaac stole the show as Angel Gabriel.

He sang loudly, he danced and he spoke his lines brilliantly.

During one of his songs he had to perform with the Nursery children to help them do the right moves and was right in front of us.  He pulled faces and was making Sebby laugh and we managed to catch it on camera.

I love this time of the year, not for the Christmas decorations, present shopping or wrapping (hate that job) – it is the magic it brings when you have little ones to enjoy it.

My top favourite thing of all is always the school nativity play and over the years I have seen my children play angels, donkey’s, camels and stars.

This year is no different and Isaac and Eliza are both performing in Big Star next week.  They have been busy practicing their lines and songs and my job was to sort the costumes.  Eliza is a star and Isaac an angel.

The problem with angel costumes in the shops is they all appear to be for girls – nothing suitable for a boy, so we went for the handmade option…………I am not sure he likes it, in fact he hates it!

Good Day Satcappers, I know, you were expecting Sonya from rocknrollmum as host today, but she is doing that all important house hunting stuff, so has asked me to step in.

This weeks #satcap was taken at our Turtle Tots swimming lesson.  I was really disappointed we missed swimming last week when Sebby was poorly as hubby was day off and able to take some pictures.  Thankfully he also had his day off this Friday too, so I dragged him along and plonked him poolside with the camera.

Sebby loved swimming lessons and I have lots of smily pictures to look through, but this one really stood out for me – he looks like a superhero in training, but can you give this picture the caption it deserves?

Yes, I know, it’s another photo from Madam Tussauds in Blackpool.

I have so many funny photo’s that I could use them for a year of satcap’s, but I promise I won’t though.

Isaac and Eliza both really enjoyed the music area as there were lots of interactive displays – I think the drums were their favourite though – why is it always the noisy stuff?

We also got to pose as Lady Gaga in many of her different guises, but one of my favourite photos is Isaac singing along with Tom Jones!

Saturday is Caption Day – 22nd November 2014

Last weekend we took the kids to see Christmas Wonderland at Paultons Park and introduce her to the delights pf Peppa Pig World.

Nanny hadn’t been to Paultons Park for years and wanted to see how much the whole park had changed, so during a break in the rain we took Nanny to show her the beautiful gardens.

Isaac loves the Snakes and Ladders garden and was quick to find the snake and give us his best pose.

Half term feels like ages ago now, but it was only a couple of weeks ago.

Whilst we were away we paid a visit to Madam Tussauds in Blackpool and I enjoyed it more than the London one.  Gone are the days of waxworks which have no resemblance to who they are supposed to represent and the collection is 99% British stars.

Isaac, our resident comedian, has perfected the art of the comedy pose so choosing a satrap has been particularly difficult, although I could look at it that I have a satcap store for the next year!

I am not convinced of the Simon Cowell waxwork but think Louis is pretty convincing and Isaac makes a great third judge, but can you caption this?

Saturday is Caption Day – 8th November 2014 #satcap

During half term we took a trip to Madam Tussauds in Blackpool which was much better than I expected it to be.

Isaac and Eliza had great fun posing with the famous residents and really got into the spirit of things.

I hope this doesn’t spoil things for you, but one of the I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here entrants has just been announced and I am not sure she is up for the challenge!

I am out and about in not so sunny Wales today with little phone signal but I will comment and share you entries when I get back later on this evening.  Don’t forget #satcap is with Sonya at www.rocknrollmum.com next week!

Saturday is Caption Day – 1st November 2014

Good Morning from our last day in sunny Staffordshire.

The weather has been fabulous during our stay up north and we have had some amazing days out, full of fabulous #satcap pictures so choosing this weeks one has been a challenge but seeing as it was Halloween yesterday it just has to be this one.

We visited Alton Towers this who were holding their scarfest event.  The park was packed full of Halloween decorations and the kids adored climbing in and posing in the giant pumpkins.

Saturday is Caption Day – 25th September 2014

Last weekend I made the brave trip to London alone with four children.

I had predicted it would end in tears (mine), however they were all amazing and behaved beautifully.

We went to an event in Leicester Square where they got to play with lots of Nintendo Games with expert guidance, have their faces painted, make some scrummy cakes and have some fabulous photos’ taken with their favourite characters.

The kids had a ball and at the end of the event were given some goody bags to take home with them.  Of course these were broken out on the train home and voila……….here is my satcap for this week:
