Helly Hansen Universal Moto Insulated Jacket Review

Hubby hates clothes shopping!

He has to wear a uniform for work, doesn’t do fashion, wears clothes until I literally have to prise them off his back and throw them away, but luckily he has me to sort him out.

He has had his raincoat for as many years as I can remember and it has served him well, but a few weeks ago he put it on and realised the zip had broken. I did try to get him to the shops to buy a new one but he wasn’t having it so I took it upon myself to find him the perfect jacket.

I am a big fan of Helly Hansen products and rely on one of their coats to keep me dry on the school run, so they were my first port of call and I found the Universal Insulated Moto Rain Jacket which is perfect. It combines a winter jacket with the classic M-67 military jacket and vintage Japanese motorcycle styling to create a distinct look.

This jacket design features the fully waterproof Helly Tech® construction with PrimaLoft® insulation which means it is waterproof, windproof and breathable.

The jacket has a packable hood in the collar, a chest pocket, cargo pockets, an anti-chaff chin guard and a bottom hem adjustment for when the weather gets really bad.

Hubby is very pleased with his jacket and found it very comfortable and practical to wear. The jacket is 79cm in length and falls just below his bum which he says is perfect for him and his kept him warm and dry when we have been out in all weathers.

The Helly Hansen Moto Jacket comes in three colours, navy, stone and rock and has an RRP of £170.
