A break in the rain!

The weather has been appalling over the last week so if we spot a sunny interval we are out that door like a shot and after a wonderful Christmas of freedom at Coombe Mill the kids are not happy being couped up indoors.

We headed to sunny Christchurch last week to feed the ducks (probably the only ones enjoying this weather) and have some fun at the park.  We were stunned by the wreckage left by the floods and the fact the water was almost right up to the wall in places.

Our Christmas at Coombe Mill

When I found out I had won a holiday to Coombe Mill over Christmas, my excitement soon turned to worrying about all the practicalities of shipping the kids and their presents to Cornwall.

I have to admit I was very stressed in the week running up to the holiday – trying to pack,wrap presents, attend various school productions, do my Christmas shop online etc on my own as hubby was working.
