Alphabet Photo – C is for Chase

Last week was quite frankly epic.

When you have teens and an adrenalin junkie husband somehow you find yourself in the background taking photos and not getting to experience things for yourself.

Last year I was pregnant with Sebastian and the had an emergency c-section which I struggled to recover from so I took a back seat even more than usual so it is about time I start enjoying things for me again.

I entered a competition a couple of weeks ago to win a trip in a Powerboat.  Not for one minute did I think I’d win, so when the phone call came in to say I had, I was shocked.  I immediately thought of the boys but when they said it was for over 18’s only and I could take a friend I knew I had to do it.

I can’t wait to tell you all about it – it was all kinds of amazing and it has re-ignited my love of boats.  The best bit is that we got to watch the P1 Super Stock Grand Prix in Bournemouth at the weekend and were cheering on our local teams.  It is definitely a sport I am going to follow from now on.

I give you “Chase!”

The Alphabet Project – B is for Bike

I couldn’t decide what I wanted to take a picture of for my “B” photo.

I toyed with brothers and boys, but after a couple of days at Bournemouth Wheels Festival I decided it just has to be Bike!

The Wheels Festival is a new even that will be held each year on the second Bank Holiday in May, following on from the success of Bournemouth Air Festival.  We saw cars old and new, but the main attraction were the displays – we saw rally cars speeding over the sandy beach, monster trucks crushing old cars and these nutters on their bikes, literally flying through the air!

I give you a bike!

Saturday is Caption Day – 15th February 2014

Last weekend we took a rather bracing walk to the beach before heading up Bournemouth Pier to watch the surfers and get a closer look at the waves.

The wind suddenly started whipping up so we decided to head to somewhere more sheltered as it had already tried to remove the buggy from my grip.

We had to walk along the right hand side of the Pier to avoid the worst of it, however, if you have ever been to Bournemouth Pier you will know that every few yards there are gaps in the shelters ………………..this is the result!

Can you caption it?
