Elf for Christmas: Family Pyjama’s Review and Giveaway

Back at the end of September I was introduced to Great & Small clothing at the Blog On Conference in Manchester.

Founded in 2016 by two mums, with four preschool children between them, Heather Watkins & Sarah Greenwell have created a limited edition range of matching unisex sleepwear, with styles parents and children can enjoy wearing together.

Each range is busting with colour, graphic prints and the signature nature influence that defines the brand.

What got me most excited was that for Christmas 2016, Great & Small have teamed up with the multi award-winning toy ‘Elf for Christmas’ to bring you the perfect of Christmas Eve pyjamas.

We decided to adopt the Christmas Eve box, which is full of little treats, a couple of years ago as a family tradition.  Our boxes normally contain a snuggly new pair of pyjama’s, hot chocolate and marshmallows, a christmas activity book and a christmas film.

This year the boxes will be brought by our Elf for Christmas and will contain these fabulous new Elf pyjama’s, although I am tempted to get a photograph of all of us wearing them for our Christmas cards.

The pyjamas are made from a super soft peach finish fabric and are true to size. The front features a postage label print for the North Pole and the back has this fabulous poem.

Whilst tucked up in bed, snuggling down to sleep,
Please listen for the pitter patter of tiny Elf feet.
If you are lucky, you might just see a magical pyjama Elf under your tree.
Elves make pyjamas for all girls and boys,
To wear while they are dreaming of magical toys

The Elf for Christmas pyjamas are available with long-sleeved tops for children and short-sleeve for adults and for every pair sold, Great & Small Clothing will donate 50p to children’s charity, The Rainbow Trust.

Children’s pyjamas start from size 18 months to 10 years, RRP £24.99, adult pyjamas from XS to XL, RRP £29.99 and if you sign up to the Great & Small newsletter this will entitle you 10% off any purchase.

Thanks to the team at Great &  Small Clothing I have a £25 voucher to giveaway to use on the pyjama’s of your choice.

Muddy Puddles Storm Explorer Jacket Review

The weather here is still around 20°C and it seems strange thinking about winter coats, however, the nights are drawing in fast and it won’t be long before the kids need a couple of extra layers of clothing to keep them warm.

We were sent the Storm Explorer Jacket from Muddy Puddles to review that will keep the kids warm and dry whatever the weather.

The unisex jacket comes in navy with a striking red warm super soft zip out fleece. The outer is 100% waterproof and when the fleece is removed it becomes a lightweight rain jacket and the fleece can be worn on its own. As well as the zip feature, the fleece also attaches to the back of the jacket by the hood and on each sleeve to keep it in place.

MUDDY PUDDLES

The Storm Explorer Jacket uses the Muddy Puddles Puddle tec 2 technology and is 10,000mm waterproof and 3000g/m2 breathable. It also has fully taped seams and storm flap that prevents any biting winds or rain getting through the fabric, and is well insulated with the zip in or out 285gsm Hi-loft fleece.

The hood and the fur trim can both be removed and the waist is adjustable enabling different looks for boys and girls, can be tightened to improve performance in different weather conditions like snow and features durable YKK zips and reflective details for added visibility on dark and dreary days.

Storm Explorer Jacket

I actually ordered this jacket for Sebastian (age 3), but have found it comes up large and fits Eliza (5) perfectly. The fact that it is unisex is perfect as it means it can be handed down when she grows out of it.

Eliza’s favourite part of the jacket is the fleece lining as it is so soft she just wants to stroke it. I am looking forward to testing it in some wet weather to see if keeps the kids dry.

STORM EXPLORER JACKET

Whilst I am not wishing this lovely weather away just yet, I am looking forward to seeing how the jacket fairs when tested in our great British weather. But for now, I love the features and design of the coat and know it will be a wardrobe staple for Autumn and Winter.
