Project 365 2014 – Week 5

How is it February already?

I have to admit I am glad to see the back of January, although it does appear that the miserable weather is here to stay.  I am desperate to get out and about with the kids but there just doesn’t seem to be anywhere safe to go – the rivers are all in flood, there are high winds meaning trees are coming down left, right and centre – even the beaches aren’t safe at the moment with warnings to stay away.

Here is my week in pictures.

Chelseamamma Week 5
Week 5

26.  Isaac finally got his very own Scootaheadz and did an impression of a Danny Dinosaur Roar!

27.  I visited my old home town of East Preston in West Sussex as I had a meeting with Callan’s teachers to discuss his school work.  It was lovely having a look around all my old childhood haunts.

28.  Isaac got to bring home Peanuts the school teddy, but because he was riding his scooter to school he decided Sebastian should look after him

29.  Kian had a day off school to make his final Options choice so did the school run with us on his scooter, impressing the little children with a few flicks and tricks

30.  I went over to Abbey’s house to help her landlady with some social media advice.  Sebastian and her daughter Senna got on like a house on fire.

31.  We finally bought a new car this week – Isaac laid claim to the seats at the very rear of the car!

32.  Isaac and Eliza making a dash to his swimming lesson.  We moved it to a Saturday as he was finding he was too tired on a Friday night!

Project 365 – Week 4

This week has all been about the build up to Eliza’s 3rd birthday.  I have to admit I did try and keep a lid on it by not telling her too soon but with older, and very excited siblings in the house, it didn’t really go to plan.

Week 4

19.  After weeks of moaning that I was struggling to feed Sebastian in his bouncy chair we finally found a reasonably priced Tripp Trapp on eBay.  He loves being up high and watching everyone else eat but I have to admit I am not impressed with it as I find it very difficult to get him in and out of it.

20.  Isaac attempts to ride two scooters at once

21.  The weather has been all over the place this week and we got caught in a thunder storm on the school pick up before this stunning double rainbow appeared

22.  We went to Salisbury to test drive a new car before heading to Smyths Toys to get Eliza her birthday present.  Sebastian was giving Daddy his best “you know you love me” look

23.  The temperature dropped so it was time to break out the snuggly snow suit and cute bobble hat

24.  Eliza’s 3rd birthday.  She had a wonderful time at her Be My Bear party and this is the first year she really understood what was going on.  We are also knee deep in dolls now, much to her delight!

25.  Our #teamhonkrelay efforts get acknowledged in the local paper!

Project 365 – Week 3

This week has been what can only be described as “EPIC”.

Who knew that when I signed up to take part in the Team Honk Relay that it would completely take over every waking thought, but it has been such fun and thank you to all of you who got behind us!

12.  Dressed as a Prince and a Princess, Isaac and Eliza set off for Nevie’s birthday party.  This is where I was introduced to the delights of the Didicar which changed my plans for the Team Honk Relay

13.  Sebastian wears his bobble hat for the first time and looks just adorable

14.  Isaac teaches Eliza how to play Skylanders Swap Force

15.  My team of Scooter Trainers whip me into shape for my marathon scoot.

16.  Leg 1 of my Team Honk Relay Effort saw me setting off in hail, but just look at the magnificent rainbow.

17.  Leg 3 of the Team Honk Relay saw Sebastian take the baton around the pool after his swimming lesson with Turtle Tots before we headed to Southampton to hand it over.

18.  I was lucky enough to go to the BumpPR 4th Birthday Party and Kara from InnocentCharmsChats and I recreated our Cybher pose 7 months on with our gorgeous boys!

Project 365 2014 – Week 2

OK, I will admit it……I was so relieved that the kids returned to school this week.  It’s not that I don’t love them being at home, but they were ready to get back to school and I needed a bit of routine back in the house, especially as hubby doesn’t have a day off between boxing day and the end of January!

Project 365 2014 – Week One

I am still in shock that I managed to complete last years 365.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and although most of my photo’s were taken on my trusty iPhone it did inspire me to buy a DSLR.  I am still learning how to use it and am looking forward to doing a course later in the year.

Project 365 – Week 52

I have done it!!

A picture for every single day of 2013 and here are my final entries:

356.  Our first full day on the farm at Coombe Mill and Isaac got to drive the tractor with Farmer Nick.  How proud does he look?

Farm Holidays Cornwall
357.  Sebastian didn’t like being put in his new baby carrier, however once he was hoisted onto Daddy’s shoulders he loved being able to see everything going on around him.

Coombe Mill

358.  It’s Christmas Eve and the kids were surprised by a special visit from Father Christmas on their train ride at Coombe Mill.  They even got a present (or two) each.

359.  It’s Christmas Day and someone got a new lens for their camera (ME!).  Here is my very first photo with it and I couldn’t wish for a better one!

360.  Boxing Day say Eliza get her turn at driving the Tractor.  I am not so sure that I would have been as relaxed as Farmer Nick!

Coombe Mill
361.  Today we said goodbye to Coombe Mill and all our new friends.  Eliza gained an honourary big sister in the process – Mediocre Mum’s daughter M!

362.  Home sweet home and the kids get to open the presents we couldn’t fit in the car!

Christmas 2013

363.  After spending the last week in the great outdoors, staying in just wasn’t an option so we headed to Christchurch with Abbey and Paul to feed the ducks and mess around.

Christchurch

364.  We headed to London to the O2 to see Disney On Ice to review Seatwave’s click and collect service.  What an utter disaster – 3 hours to get there in the torrential rain and high winds and the O2 had no record of our tickets.  Luckily there were a few other bloggers / journalists in the same situation and we stood up on mass and the O2 kindly stepped and gave us tickets – albeit ones in the gods and I spent the whole time trying to stop Eliza climbing over the edge so she could get a better view!

365.  Whilst at Coombe Mill the lovely Chrissie (Mediocre Mum) introduced the kids to home made waffles.  They were such a hit I found a waffle machine in the sales and here was my first attempt at making our own.  They were a success!

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and I look forward to sharing our adventures in 2014.

A big thank you going out to all of you that have viewed and commented on my blog this year and to theboyandme for hosting this fabulous linky!

Project 365 – Week 51

I have to admit that this week has been majorly stressful.  Firstly we had Sebastian’s Christening on Sunday which was fantastic and it was lovely to see family and friends, then it was making sure all the presents were wrapped in time for our trip to Coombemill on Saturday.

I was expecting hubby to be home to help as his shop was on shut down, however he has been in work everyday due to a refit and then had 2 christmas parties so I have seen him even less than usual.

As soon as we got into the car to travel to Cornwall I relaxed and now I am sat next to a roaring fire at 5am in the morning typing this – lets hope the fresh farm air makes the little sleep longer tonight!

Here is my week in pictures:
349.  Me with my eldest two
350.  Kian building some LEGO Chima
351.  Sebastian chilling out on the sofa watching me wrap presents
352.  Isaac performing in his school nativity
353.  Sebastian refusing to sleep and let me finish the wrapping
354.  Abbey and Eliza posing in their matching hoodies
355.  Choo Choo – the Santa Express has arrived at Coombemill
